About Pixelmash
Pixelmash is a pixel-art and animation application for Windows and macOS. It combines low-resolution pixel layers with high-resolution and vector layers that can be pixelated non-destructively in real time. This allows an artist to keep source artwork flexible while shaping how it appears at a chosen pixel resolution. The application also supports transforms, tweening, keyframed character animation, parented layers, and layer effects. Users can import high-resolution art or SVG files and create reusable templates with layers and effects already arranged. These tools connect illustration and animation in one environment, supporting assets that may need to be produced at several resolutions. The final appearance depends on the layer structure, effects, and output resolution selected.
