About Portify
Portify shows which processes are using network ports on a Windows computer and lets users free a selected port. It displays one row per port rather than one row per socket, making it easier to see the process associated with each listening or active port. Before terminating a process, it shows the other ports that process holds so the user can understand the broader effect. The application runs from the system tray and includes a global show/hide hotkey. A companion command-line tool provides the same core behavior for terminal use. Both use a shared Rust implementation so the graphical and command-line views remain consistent. Portify is useful for developers troubleshooting a service that cannot start because a port is already in use, while its process details help avoid accidentally stopping unrelated services.
