About Power Tab Editor
Power Tab Editor is a cross-platform application for viewing and editing guitar tablature. Tablature is a way to represent music for guitar by showing which strings and frets to play, making it a practical format for guitar parts. The editor provides a place to read and modify these tab files as part of arranging or practicing music. The project is open source and was written from scratch as a continuation of the Power Tab Editor concept. Its focus is guitar notation through tablature rather than general-purpose audio recording. Musicians can use it to inspect existing tabs or edit arrangements for later use.
