About PowerRun
PowerRun is a portable Windows utility for launching programs with elevated system privileges, including TrustedInstaller, NT AUTHORITY, or SYSTEM-level permissions. These privilege levels can grant access to protected system areas that ordinary user accounts cannot change. PowerRun’s role is to start a selected program under one of the specified identities, enabling administrative maintenance tasks that require those rights. The utility is a launcher; the actions performed depend on the program the user starts. PowerRun is intended for advanced Windows administration and troubleshooting. Changes made by an elevated program can affect system configuration, so the selected tool and task determine the consequences.
