About ProcessCap
ProcessCap launches Windows applications with configurable processor-affinity and memory limits. It starts a program inside a Windows Job Object and applies those limits to the application and its child processes, so related subprocesses remain within the configured restrictions. Processor affinity controls which CPU cores a process may use, while a memory limit caps the total memory used by the job. ProcessCap applies the limits immediately when launching the program and does not require a system restart. This makes the settings useful for controlling resource use during a specific run. ProcessCap is intended for Windows users who need to constrain how much CPU and memory an application or its child processes can consume. Its workflow is based on launching the program through the utility with the desired limits in place.
