About PS Remote Play
PS Remote Play streams games running on a PlayStation console to a laptop or desktop computer. It provides a way to continue playing from a computer screen while the game itself runs on the user’s console. This is useful when a player wants to access their console games from another screen in the home or use a computer as the viewing device. The product’s purpose is remote play rather than transferring or installing the games on the computer. The computer acts as the client for viewing and interacting with the console session over a network connection. It supports games from two generations of the console family and can stream them to laptops and desktops.
