PTX CLI is a command-line client for connecting to clusters and managing applications through the PortX platform. It supports authentication with an OIDC device flow, access to EKS clusters, and kubeconfig management. These functions help users establish a command-line connection to cluster environments and maintain the configuration needed by Kubernetes tools. The client also provisions and manages projects and can set up port forwarding to databases and services through SSM. Port forwarding allows a local development tool to reach a remote service through a secured connection path, which can be useful when the service is not directly exposed. PTX CLI brings access, project setup, and service connectivity into a single terminal workflow for users administering applications on clusters.
