About R for Windows
R for Windows provides the R language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. It supports statistical methods including linear and nonlinear modeling, classical tests, time-series analysis, classification and clustering. R is also extensible, so users can add methods and adapt the environment to particular analytical needs. Its graphics system can produce publication-quality plots, including mathematical symbols and formulas, while allowing detailed control over their appearance. R can be used for research, data analysis and statistical method development, with code written for the related S language often running in R as well. The environment combines a programming language with tools for analysis and visualization, allowing users to move from data processing to statistical results and graphical presentation within the same system. The product is available for Windows, and R is free software distributed under the GNU General Public License.
