About ReelGeek
ReelGeek turns a folder of photographs into a vertical video cut to a beat grid. It arranges the images against a tempo, gives each shot its own camera movement, selects transitions, and renders a 1080-by-1920 H.264 MP4 video. The result is an edited sequence rather than a static slideshow. Timing images to a beat grid gives the video a rhythmic structure, while camera moves and transitions add motion between still photographs. The vertical format is suited to short-form video platforms, and the finished MP4 can be used directly in services such as TikTok or YouTube Shorts. ReelGeek is intended for people who want to create short vertical edits from a collection of photographs. The images are read from disk and rendering is performed on the computer, so the core editing process does not require uploading the photos.
