About reSARch
reSARch parses binary system-activity data files produced by sysstat. It can generate output compatible with familiar text-reporting tools, detect anomalies within a file, and chart results as SVG images. The utility can also convert older file generations to the current format. These functions support reviewing recorded system performance after collection: parse the binary data, inspect or visualize its contents, and update older files when needed. reSARch runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows and works independently of the original text-reporting tools. It is focused on extracting and analyzing information from saved system-activity records. The parsed output can be reviewed as text or charts, depending on the task.
