About resonanceid-cli
resonanceid-cli identifies songs by matching audio fingerprints. It builds a local database of reference tracks using hashed spectral fingerprints, then compares an unknown clip or microphone input against those stored references. Matching is based on the timing offsets where fingerprints agree, allowing the tool to determine which track most closely corresponds to a sample. It can import a whole folder of tracks and automatically convert formats with ffmpeg, making it possible to build a reference library from existing audio files. The command-line interface suits scripted or terminal-based use. Its workflow has two parts: create a local fingerprint collection from known music, then submit a recording or clip for identification. It is intended for audio matching, not general music playback or audio editing.
