About RXSSTV
RXSSTV is a program for decoding slow-scan television, a method of transmitting still images over radio using audio signals. A decoder reconstructs the image from the received transmission, allowing users to view the picture encoded in the signal. It reconstructs picture content sent as an audio-frequency signal. It is intended for receiving and decoding slow-scan television image transmissions. Its role is receiving a transmission and displaying the resulting picture, rather than general image editing. This places it in workflows where an operator is receiving image transmissions and wants to view the resulting picture. The output is a decoded still image.
