About ScummVM
ScummVM lets users run supported classic graphical adventure and role-playing games on systems for which the original software was not designed. It requires the game’s data files, then replaces the original game executable with a rewritten implementation. ScummVM is therefore a compatibility layer for supported games, not a hardware emulator. The software supports a large library of games, including both well-known titles and less familiar adventures.
