About Serial Monitor
Serial Monitor is a Windows application for viewing serial-port data in real time. It detects COM ports and lets users configure baud rates, then displays incoming output with colors for categories such as errors, warnings, informational messages, success, and debug messages. Autoscroll can be turned off to inspect earlier output, and the application can reconnect to a previously used device when it is plugged in again. Users can save logs to timestamped files or copy output to the clipboard. These capabilities support monitoring communications from connected devices and preserving a record for later review. The evidence does not specify supported serial protocols beyond configurable serial-port monitoring, so the displayed text depends on the connected device and its output.
