About ShellExView

ShellExView displays shell extensions installed on a Windows computer and lets users enable or disable individual extensions. Shell extensions add functions to the operating system, such as extra commands in a file’s right-click menu, and can be installed by Windows or by other applications. The utility helps users inspect these components when diagnosing context-menu problems or other behavior involving shell integration. Disabling an extension can change what appears or works in Windows interfaces, so users can re-enable it if needed. ShellExView manages extension state rather than removing the application that installed an extension. Its list and controls are focused on registered Windows shell components.
