About ShiftPad
ShiftPad switches a Windows PC between a desk monitor and a television when a gamepad is connected or disconnected. On connection, it can change the display mode, switch audio to the television and launch Steam Big Picture or a custom launcher. When the gamepad is removed, it restores the desktop display, audio and launcher setup. Users can choose target-only, extended or cloned displays, and the application can detect HDMI audio after the display changes. Optional HDMI-CEC support works with a compatible USB adapter. A configurable button sequence helps prevent accidental activation, while boot-time recovery addresses sessions that ended unexpectedly. ShiftPad is intended for people who use one PC for both desk work and television gaming. It automates the transition between those setups, including display, sound and launcher behavior.
