About ShogiGUI
ShogiGUI is a Windows graphical interface for playing, reviewing and analyzing shogi games. It can connect to a shogi engine that supports the USI protocol, allowing users to play against an engine and use engine analysis when reviewing positions. The interface also works with game records, so players can revisit completed games and examine their moves. Combining record review, analysis and play gives users a single environment for studying shogi. ShogiGUI is intended for shogi players who want a desktop board interface with support for compatible engines. Its USI connection makes engine-based play and analysis part of the workflow. These functions support both active play and later study of recorded matches.
