About SoftPerfect Connection Emulator
SoftPerfect Connection Emulator simulates network conditions for testing network-enabled applications on Windows. It can limit bandwidth, introduce fixed or variable latency and simulate packet loss, corruption, duplication or reordering. These controls let developers and network engineers test how applications behave on slow or unreliable connections, such as long-distance or low-bandwidth links. Multiple profiles and a live packet-simulation chart support different test scenarios and observation. Connection Emulator is intended for evaluating software that depends on network quality, including time-sensitive applications. It provides a controlled environment for reproducing difficult connection conditions without changing the application itself. The controlled profile can be selected to test an application under different conditions.
