About SoundGeek
SoundGeek cleans audio recordings by reducing steady background noise, removing mains hum, filtering rumble, and leveling loudness. It writes the cleaned result beside the original file, leaving the original unchanged. The hum-removal step detects whether the recording contains 50 Hz or 60 Hz mains interference and removes the present frequency. Users can choose among three cleanup strengths. The lighter filtering mode returns audio at its original sample rate, while the stronger speech-model mode produces 16 kHz mono audio. Loudness is adjusted to a target measured using the ITU-R BS.1770 standard. SoundGeek is intended for people who want to improve recorded speech or other audio on their computer. Processing stays local, and the application reports numerical information about the changes it made, allowing users to review the cleanup applied to a recording.
