About SRIFT
SRIFT combines peer-to-peer file transfer, encrypted chat, and an MCP server for AI coding agents. It is designed to connect developers and agent tools without requiring a central service to retain session data. File-transfer sessions and encrypted links use end-to-end AES-256-GCM encryption, with keys generated on the participating devices using ECDH P-256 and HKDF-SHA256. The encryption design means that the session content is protected between endpoints. The MCP server provides a way for compatible coding agents to interact with SRIFT’s transfer and communication functions. SRIFT is intended for developers who need to share files or messages peer to peer and connect those capabilities to agent workflows. Its operation centers on direct sessions rather than a hosted file repository.
