About SteamlessController
SteamlessController maps a supported game controller to virtual controller types for use in games that do not directly support the original hardware. It can present the Steam Controller as a virtual Xbox 360 controller, DualShock 4, experimental DualSense, or Switch Pro controller. This allows users to choose an input profile that better matches a game’s expected controls. The project aims to preserve behavior similar to the original Xbox 360 mapping while adding PlayStation and Nintendo-style features for games that support them. SteamlessController is focused on controller compatibility for non-Steam games and does not itself provide game content. Its virtual-device behavior depends on the chosen profile and the game’s controller support. The product helps bridge input differences between hardware and the controller types games recognize.
