About streamtuner2
streamtuner2 browses radio station directories and organizes stations by category or genre. It can retrieve station lists from multiple directories, giving users a way to explore streams without visiting each directory separately. When a station is selected, streamtuner2 uses an existing audio player to play it. Recording is handled by a separate recording utility rather than by the player itself. The application is written in Python and is designed so it can be extended. Its directory browsing and genre organization make it useful for finding internet radio streams, while reusing an installed player keeps playback within the user’s existing audio setup.
