About Subloader
Subloader is a Windows application for finding and downloading subtitles for movies and television shows. It provides both a graphical interface and a command-line tool, so users can search interactively or include subtitle processing in a terminal-based workflow. The command-line version can process whole directories of video files in batches, reducing the need to handle each file separately. The application searches for subtitles using the OpenSubtitles API. It can match a video using a file hash, which is a value calculated from the file to help identify the exact media item, and it also sorts results by filename similarity. These matching methods are intended to make it easier to select subtitles that correspond to a particular video rather than relying only on a manually entered title. Subloader’s workflow connects a local movie or television file with subtitle search and retrieval.
