About Tenacity
Tenacity is a multi-track audio editor and recorder for working with recordings, music, podcasts, and other sound material. It can record from real or virtual audio devices, edit audio on a multi-track timeline, and import or export a wide range of formats, with additional format support available through FFmpeg. The editor supports high-quality audio processing up to 32-bit float and can be extended with plug-ins, including VST 2, LADSPA/LV2, and AU. It includes tools for signal analysis and supports scripting through Nyquist as well as external languages connected through named pipes. Keyboard editing and screen-reader and narration support provide accessibility options. Tenacity is intended for users with varied audio work, from recording music and editing podcast episodes to analyzing signals. It is open source and supports Windows. Its combination of recording, editing, format handling, plug-ins, scripting, and analysis makes it a general-purpose audio workspace.
