About TeXworks
TeXworks is a straightforward environment for editing, typesetting, and previewing TeX documents, including LaTeX and ConTeXt. It combines a Unicode-aware, TeX-aware editor with an integrated PDF viewer, creating a connected workflow for writing and reviewing documents. The PDF viewer supports synchronization between the source and its compiled output, helping authors move between text and the corresponding rendered page. An extensible scripting interface provides a way to extend the environment for additional tasks. TeXworks is intended for both casual and technical users who write TeX documents. Its simple interface brings editing, typesetting, and preview together on Windows and Linux. This keeps authoring, compilation, and preview close together.
