About UNIM
UNIM is a Korean input method for Windows and Linux, built around one shared engine. An input method editor (IME) converts keyboard input into text in a language or writing system. UNIM helps users enter Korean and can correct mistakes that happen when the keyboard is in the wrong language mode; for example, it can turn a Hangul word typed using English keyboard letters into the intended Korean text. The input method can also enter Hanja, symbols, and emoji using a single key. Its composition rules, keyboard layouts, and settings are kept consistent across the two supported platforms. The design emphasizes reducing keystrokes by correcting common mode errors and making additional characters readily accessible. The evidence identifies platform support and these input capabilities, but does not describe all supported layouts, configuration options, or compatibility with particular applications.
