About Universal Modbus Diagnostic Tool
Universal Modbus Diagnostic Tool is a Python toolkit for diagnosing, simulating, and bridging Modbus RTU and TCP devices. It can read and write registers, scan address ranges, and help identify devices on a Modbus network. A mock server can simulate a Modbus device with configurable behavior and injected faults, allowing other systems to be tested without the physical device. The toolkit also includes a soft proxy for routing traffic between transports such as TCP and serial, with packet modification, plus PCAP capture and analysis for inspecting traffic. Together, these tools support troubleshooting and testing industrial communication workflows. The supplied evidence does not list supported hardware adapters or explain deployment requirements for the Python components.
