About UWP → MM MIDI Adapter
UWP → MM MIDI Adapter forwards Bluetooth Low Energy MIDI input from Windows' newer WinRT MIDI interface to the older WinMM interface. It provides a bridge for programs that support the older MIDI interface but cannot directly use the BLE MIDI path provided by Windows. The tool places an icon in the system tray and redirects incoming MIDI data to a virtual MIDI device. This lets a compatible application receive the forwarded input through WinMM. Programs that already support WinRT MIDI may not need the adapter. UWP → MM MIDI Adapter is intended for Windows musicians and developers connecting BLE MIDI hardware to software that relies on WinMM. Its role is to bridge the two MIDI interfaces so the device can be used with older applications.
