About VirtualHere USB Server
VirtualHere USB Server shares USB devices over a network so that a remote computer can use them as though they were plugged in locally. The server is connected to the physical USB device and transmits its USB signals over the network. A client on another machine can then attach the shared device and use it with existing drivers and applications. This USB-over-network approach can work across a local network, the internet, or a cloud environment. It removes the requirement that the peripheral be physically connected to the computer that needs it. Because the remote device appears to the client like a directly attached USB device, ordinary device software can continue to work without special changes. VirtualHere is useful when USB hardware must be shared between computers or made available at a distance. The server provides the device, and a compatible client uses it remotely. The network effectively carries the connection between them, allowing the physical location of a peripheral to differ from the computer where it is used.
