About VOCIX
VOCIX is a Windows 11 voice-dictation application that captures speech with a global hotkey, transcribes it and inserts the result at the current cursor in other applications. Speech recognition can run offline using faster-whisper. Users can choose among three modes: Clean, Business and Rage; they can also optionally send a transcript through a selected language model for transformation. Users can choose a hosted model service or a local model, with provider choices available per mode. It includes a settings window and a system-tray microphone indicator, and its interface can be displayed in German or English. Optional translation can convert speech from Whisper-supported languages into English. A separate mode supports remote desktop use, and the application is portable and does not require a Python installation. These controls let users choose whether they want a direct transcription, a transformed version or an English translation, while keeping the final text insertion in the application they are already using.
