About Vouch
Vouch is a hardware-backed authentication system for developers. It issues short-lived credentials only after a user physically touches a security key and enters a PIN. The resulting credentials last for a limited session, replacing reliance on long-lived API keys or password-plus-push authentication. After a credential is issued, it can be used with SSH, cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes workflows. Requiring physical presence for issuance links access to a hardware-backed authentication step and time-bounds the resulting credential. Vouch is intended for developers who need access to infrastructure and want credentials tied to a physical security key. Its workflow combines user presence, a PIN and short-duration credentials for connected systems.
