Vovsoft Prevent Disk Sleep keeps selected disks active by periodically creating a small text file. Users choose the drive or drives to monitor, select a folder and filename, and set the write interval. The interval can be configured in seconds, with a minimum of ten seconds. The utility is intended for cases where a hard drive or SSD entering standby causes a delay before the next file operation. Periodic writes mimic activity on the selected disk, helping it remain responsive after a long idle period. It can work with local disks or external USB drives.
