About Vovsoft Syslog Server

Vovsoft Syslog Server receives, displays, and archives syslog messages from network devices in real time. These messages can report routine events such as logins as well as warnings or failures. Viewing incoming messages as they arrive can help an administrator notice network events and respond to issues. The application monitors messages sent to the computer running the server and can retain an archive for later review. Each device must be configured to send its syslog events to the server’s address, and the receiving computer must be able to accept the traffic. Syslog commonly uses UDP port 514 by default. Vovsoft Syslog Server is useful for collecting event messages from devices across a network in one place. Its live display supports monitoring, while archiving provides a record for troubleshooting or security review. The system depends on the sending devices being configured to forward their messages to the server.
