About VPX
VPX is a Windows desktop music player that supports roughly 70 audio and tracker formats. It handles common formats such as MP3, FLAC, WAV and AAC, as well as tracker modules associated with Amiga and DOS-era music. Tracker files are played through an included module-rendering library, without requiring separate codec packs or plugins. Each playback channel has its own oscilloscope display colored by frequency range, giving users a visual view of the sound. The player also includes a 10-band equalizer, track crossfading, folder-based playlists and a compact skin that can sit at the screen edge. VPX is intended for listeners with varied music libraries, including older tracker compositions. It combines broad format playback with per-channel visualization and controls for shaping and organizing listening sessions.
