About VX Search Server
VX Search Server runs rule-based file searches as a background service across directories, disks, network shares, and NAS devices. Administrators can create multiple search jobs and combine criteria such as file name, type, size, dates, user, attributes, regular expressions, text or binary patterns, and image metadata. Jobs can be scheduled, and the server can generate reports, notify users, or run custom commands when results reach a specified threshold. A client GUI and command-line utility can control the service locally or over the network. Results can be exported to standard report formats or a central SQL database for later analysis. Search results can be retained as reports for later review and comparison.
