About WakeMeOnLan
WakeMeOnLan sends Wake-on-LAN packets to start computers that support remote wake-up. It can scan a local network to collect device hardware addresses and save a list, allowing users to select one or more computers later when they are off or in standby. The utility can also be run from the command line using a computer name, IP address, or network-card address. This is useful for administrators managing machines that do not need to remain fully powered on between tasks. WakeMeOnLan sends the request but does not guarantee that a device will start; its hardware, network, and power settings must support Wake-on-LAN.
