About WattAWidget
WattAWidget is a desktop power-monitoring widget for Windows. It displays a computer’s live power draw in a small always-on-screen panel and provides charts showing recent and historical usage. When the computer is running on battery, it uses battery telemetry; when it is connected to AC power, it estimates draw using CPU and GPU sensors and calibrates the estimate to the system. The widget includes a 30-minute sparkline as well as 24-hour and seven-day history charts. It can show energy use in kilowatt-hours and estimate electricity costs, helping users relate momentary power draw to longer-term consumption. A battery health readout is also included. These views make it possible to check current use or review trends over several days. WattAWidget is intended for users who want a persistent view of computer energy use. Readings on battery come from battery telemetry, while estimates on AC use a self-calibrating CPU and GPU model. The distinction matters because the displayed value is measured through different means depending on the power state.
