About WifiInfoView
WifiInfoView scans nearby wireless networks and displays information such as network name, signal strength, frequency, channel, wireless standard, and maximum speed. Selecting a network can reveal the underlying information elements advertised by the access point. A summary mode groups detected networks by channel, device characteristics, or maximum speed, making it easier to compare the local wireless environment. This helps users inspect nearby networks when diagnosing interference or planning a wireless setup. WifiInfoView observes broadcasts from detected access points; it does not connect to them or manage their settings. Results depend on the computer’s wireless adapter and the networks within range.
