About WinMedic
WinMedic is a Windows diagnostic and repair tool with a terminal interface. It checks for component-store and system-file corruption, stalled update queues, broken services, network-stack and DNS faults, disk-health concerns and cache bloat. Diagnostic modules run in parallel, and each finding includes a severity, supporting evidence and the commands that a repair would run. Repairs are opt-in and reversible. Before changing anything, WinMedic creates a System Restore point and registry snapshots; a dry-run mode previews planned steps without modifying the system. Scans and repairs can be interrupted, so users can review proposed work before choosing to proceed. WinMedic is a native executable with no separate .NET or Python runtime requirement. It is intended for diagnosing Windows problems and presenting repair options with evidence and command-level detail.
