About WinNc
WinNc is a two-pane file manager for Windows. Its interface presents two independent file panels, allowing users to work between locations and drag files to servers, network computers, and other network resources. It is intended as an alternative interface for everyday file management, including copying, moving, deleting, editing, and formatting files. The program can display the contents of compressed files as if they were directories, and the supplied description also lists splitting, encryption, and FTP support. It includes viewers for a range of image, audio, video, document, and web-related file types, and can convert WAV audio to MP3 or rip audio CDs to MP3. The evidence describes a broad feature set, though it does not establish compatibility with every format or Windows version currently in use.
