About Yank
Yank synchronizes clipboard content across Windows, macOS, and Linux devices on a local network. It can share text, files, and images, allowing a user to copy on one computer and retrieve the content on another without sending it through a cloud clipboard service. Transfers are protected with AES-256-GCM encryption, and large files use lazy transfer so the file data is moved when needed rather than copied immediately as part of every clipboard update. This combines cross-device convenience with a local-network workflow. Yank is a clipboard synchronization tool, not a general file-sharing server; devices need to be able to communicate over the same local network for the sharing workflow to operate.
