About ZipInstaller
ZipInstaller installs and removes applications distributed as ZIP archives when those applications do not include their own installation program. It extracts the archive contents to a destination folder, creates shortcuts in the Start menu or on the desktop, and adds an uninstall component to remove the installed files later. This gives portable utilities a more organized installation and removal process without requiring a custom installer from each application. ZipInstaller focuses on unpacking and registering files and shortcuts; it is not a general package manager. The result depends on the archive’s contents and whether the software can run from the selected destination.
