About Ziplark
Ziplark is an archive manager available as a desktop application, command-line tool, and MCP server. It can extract ZIP, RAR, 7z, tar, compressed tar variants, single-file compressed streams, and ISO disc images. It can create ZIP archives with AES-256 encryption, 7z archives with AES-256 encryption, and tar archives. The shared engine keeps the same archive functions available across all three interfaces. The MCP server allows compatible assistants to list, extract, test, and create archives, while the desktop and CLI support direct user workflows. Extraction uses a path-traversal guard intended to prevent archive entries from writing outside the chosen destination folder. Users should still inspect untrusted archives before opening extracted content. Ziplark is open source and is described as having no telemetry.
