Acode IDE is an Android code editor and web-development environment for phones and tablets. It supports syntax highlighting for more than 100 languages, multi-file tabs, project-wide search, a command palette, code completion through language-server plugins, and customizable themes and fonts. Web projects can be previewed as HTML or Markdown, and an interactive JavaScript console supports debugging. Emmet shortcuts help with HTML and CSS authoring. An included Alpine Linux terminal runs through proot, so root access is not required. Users can install supported command-line packages, open multiple terminal tabs, customize the shell, and back up or restore the terminal environment. For web development, the environment supports Node.js, npm, package scripts, and server-side JavaScript projects. Acode also supports Git workflows, SSH access, and FTP or SFTP file management. Plugins can add language servers, build tools, formatters, themes, and AI-assisted coding. AI features depend on the selected plugin and tool; they are not a single built-in model. Acode requires Android 7 or later. It is intended for editing and managing code on Android, with a mobile terminal and remote-development tools; plugin capabilities and device resources shape what workflows are practical.
