About addy.io
addy.io is an Android client for managing email aliases on a hosted or self-hosted addy.io instance. Users can create, edit, and delete aliases, recipients, domains, usernames, rules, blocklists, labels, and failed-delivery records. An alias can forward mail while keeping a personal email address private, and the app can watch aliases for new messages. The client supports sending email from an alias by selecting its address or opening a mail link. It can notify users about failed deliveries, domain errors, and expiring subscriptions, and can update multiple aliases at once. Deep links can deactivate an alias from a banner, and widgets provide quick access. A Wear OS companion supports alias management and a tile for favorite aliases. The app stores its API key and settings in encrypted preferences, can require biometric unlocking, and supports encrypted configuration backups. Self-hosted instances can use mutual TLS. Optional error logging stores exceptions locally; the description states that there are no usage statistics, device identifiers, or crash reports in the described build. addy.io requires a compatible instance running version 1.7.3 or newer. It is useful for people who already use the alias-forwarding service and want to manage aliases and delivery status from a phone or wearable.
