About AnLinux
AnLinux helps users run a Linux environment on Android without root access. It uses PRoot technology together with a separate terminal environment to install supported Linux distributions. Multiple distributions can be installed without conflicting with one another, and the app provides an uninstall script for removing a distribution. Supported choices include Ubuntu, Debian, Kali, Parrot, Fedora, CentOS, openSUSE, and Arch-based distributions. AnLinux also describes support for desktop environments such as Xfce, MATE, LXQt, and LXDE, as well as SSH. This lets users choose between a command-line environment and a graphical desktop setup, depending on the configuration. The app requires Android 5.0 or newer and supports ARM and x86 device architectures listed in its description. It depends on the separate terminal environment and PRoot setup; AnLinux is not a standalone Linux emulator that runs without those components. AnLinux is useful for people who want access to a user-space Linux distribution and tools from an Android device without rooting it. Performance and compatibility depend on the phone’s architecture, Android version, and the selected distribution and desktop environment.
