About ARK-launcher
ARK-launcher is a customizable Android home-screen replacement with a paged layout, free icon placement, and a dock for favorite apps. Icons can be moved within or between pages and between the home screen and dock. The app drawer includes universal search for apps and system settings, with optional contacts, calculator, unit conversion, and a most-used apps row. Folders can be created on the home screen or in the drawer. The launcher supports adding, resizing, moving, and reconfiguring widgets, including full-width widgets and scrollable collections. Built-in widgets can show the date, next calendar event, next alarm, battery, notifications, or people and conversations. Gestures, notification badges, themed icons, third-party icon packs, app hiding and renaming, and an optional double-tap-to-lock action provide further controls. Layouts and settings, including widgets, can be backed up to a file and restored. ARK-launcher is available in nine languages and is built with Jetpack Compose and Material 3. Network access is used only for optional weather in the clock widget. Weather requires location permission and uses location rounded to about one kilometer; place-name lookup over the internet is optional and off by default. With weather disabled, the app makes no network requests.
