About AuraOrbit
AuraOrbit is an Android live wallpaper that displays selected apps around an interactive three-dimensional sphere on the home screen. Users can rotate the sphere with touch gestures, adjust its position and size, and change how quickly it spins. The sphere arranges app icons across its surface using a Fibonacci distribution, a spacing method intended to spread points evenly. A tap on an icon launches that app. The wallpaper’s appearance can be tailored with a custom background image or a gradient, adjustable blur, icon size, and third-party icon packs. App groups can be created with distinct colors and individual sphere positions, backgrounds, and blur settings. This lets different groups have their own presentation instead of sharing one global arrangement. AuraOrbit also provides home-screen widgets for app groups. Multiple group widgets can be placed at once, and their appearance can be adjusted with options such as transparency, logo and label visibility, and system colors. A widget can open its group in a full-screen sphere view, where icons remain tappable and tapping outside returns to the home screen. The app is described as open-source software under GPLv3 and as having no tracking or unnecessary permissions. It is designed for people who want an interactive, customizable way to launch selected apps from the home screen, with group-specific layouts and matching widgets. The description notes support for high refresh rates up to 120 frames per second on capable hardware.
