About Aurora Droid
Aurora Droid is an open-source Android client for browsing and managing repositories of free and open-source apps. It includes a dedicated download manager and tools for adding or managing repositories, bringing app discovery and download activity into one interface. Its Material 3 design provides a modern visual layout. The client supports several installation methods, including Android’s session and native installers, as well as root and Shizuku-based installation. These options give users different ways to install selected apps depending on their device setup. Aurora Droid is an alternative client for users who want repository controls and a fuller download manager. Its purpose is access to software catalogs and management of the apps retrieved from them.
