About AutoDND
AutoDND automatically turns Android’s Do Not Disturb mode on or off when the user opens specified apps. It is intended for setting app-specific quiet behavior, such as changing notification handling while certain activities are in use. The user grants notification-policy access and enables an accessibility service through the app’s setup controls. The accessibility service monitors which app is currently being used and uses that information to switch Do Not Disturb. The description cautions that this mechanism is imperfect because Android may provide unexpected accessibility events in some circumstances. As a result, automatic switching may not always reflect the foreground app exactly. AutoDND’s described function is limited to toggling Do Not Disturb based on selected apps. Its setup depends on system permissions for notification policy and accessibility, and the reliability caveat comes from the way Android reports app-use events.
